Surveillance Cameras

To address the ongoing problems of vandalism, unauthorized use of PSC ranges by nonmembers, and violation of PSC Range Rules, surveillance cameras have been installed through the PSC property.  These cameras record both still and video images on the Club’s off-premises servers and the video detail is quite good.  This should help us maintain the Club property for everyone.

Unfortunately, a number of members have been seen intentionally shooting Club equipment and range improvements.  For example, people have been seen shooting the telephone polls on Range #4 and garbage cans on the pistol bays.  From this point on, the Board intends to revoke the membership of anyone willfully destroying Club property and prosecute them for vandalism.

Another ongoing problem is the blatant violation of the shooting-time rules.  People are shooting before 8:00am and long after shooting time ends.  Members doing so are subject to having their membership suspended for a period of time and repeated violations will result in permanent revocation of their membership.

The Club is enjoying a sustained period of growth that is good not only for PSC and our fellow members, but for all gun owners and shooting sports and activities.  The Board is fully committed to protecting the Club’s property so that it will be available for our members’ use.  It is equally committed to enforcing Rules designed to protect the Club and its members and ensure the continuing good relationship we have with our neighbors.  To do less would be to shirk our responsibility to our fellow members, all but a very small percentage of whom diligently adhere to the Rules and treat Club property as their own.
