PSC Shooting Club is hands down one of the best shooting facilities in Texas and the best bargain you can find in a shooting club.  Many people have asked how it can be done with dues of only $150 a year.  To a great extent, the answer lies in the thousands of hours that are donated to the Club by volunteers.

Every one of the members of the Board of Directors put in a lot of free time working at and/or for the Club, but PSC members do the same.  If we had to hire people to perform all of the maintenance the Club requires, annual dues would at least tripple.  When you add in the number of range improvements that have been made in the last three years, the importance of our volunteers becomes even more evident.

In addition to Club maintenance and capital improvements, volunteers are the backbone of every match and special event hosted at PSC.  Unless you have worked a match, you likely have no idea how much work goes into planning, setting up, running, then tearing down a monthly match.  Dedicated volunteers do this month after month in all kinds of weather, including our rather "warm" summers.  PSC special programs like the Juniors Program and the Women's Program are invaluable in promoting shooting to their target audiences.  You guessed it, those programs are also run by volunteers.

A group of volunteers is being organized to help with maintaining all of the pistol ranges including Range #2 (Mom & Pop range), all of the Pistol Bays and the plate rack range.  The work will consist primarily of mowing and weed-eating, but other maintenance projects will be done at various times during the year.  If you are interested in helping, please send an email to Jim Pierce at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
