About the range
PSC or
Pearland Sportsman Club is a Membership gun range in Friendswood Texas.
(About 30 minutes South of the Interstate 610 Loop.) It features many outdoor shooting facilities.
We have regular scheduled shooting matches, Juniors and Ladies programs, Training, and casual shooting.
Range 1 is the position rifle range. We have several rifle matches and pistol silhouette matches. Ranges from 50 to 300 yards. You may shoot from a bench or you may practice position shooting.
Range 2 are the Pistol ranges. There is the "Mom and Pop" / 10-Yard Range that is always open to members. In the back there are eight (8) bays for a more private shooting experience. Most of the pistol bays have permanent covers that will let you get out of the sun or the rain. The plate rack bay has two plate racks that have gone through an orientation with the pistol director. Bay 2F can be used for combat shotguns. Several of the bays are long enough for 50 yard practice. We have several pistol matches a month including bowling pins, plate racks, USPSA / IPSC, IDPA, and Police Pistol Combat (PPC).
Range 3 is for .22 Rimfire only. There are backstops for pistols as well as rifles. Here is where you can take a new shooter to fire a .22 without having someone with a small cannon on the bench next to you. We have regular .22 Rifle matches.
Range 4 is for Bench Rest only. This is the range you would use to sight in a rifle. Ranges are from 25 to 200 yards. There are no matches on this range and it should always be open to members. (Except when we are doing range work.)
Range 5 is the Archery Range. There are 3-D targets available for Archery practice. Please wear a hat and safety glasses when retrieving lost arrows. You may wander into the shotfall area from the shotgun range.
Shotgun Range We have two (2) Skeet / Trap fields, a separate 5-Stand field, a country doubles field, and a pattern board. The shotgun range is opened by key holders on Saturday and Sunday year round. Currently it's open on Wednesday afternoons from Noon until 4PM. You will find the price for a shotgun round is the very affordable.
Air Gun Range We have a great outdoor Air Gun Range. It is situated on an old, grown over, oil field road and gets hardly any wind. We have some of the highest scores in the nation at our regular Air Gun matches.
